What stays in your browser
The measurements and prices you type into a calculator are saved in your own browser's storage so they are still there when you come back. They are not sent to this site's server or to anyone else. Clearing your browser data removes them.
When you copy a link to a project, the measurements are included in that link. Anyone you send the link to can see them.
Server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare records basic technical details of each request, such as the IP address, browser type and page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Those logs are kept by Cloudflare under its own policy.
Anonymous usage counts
To learn which calculators are useful, the site counts how often each page is opened, used, printed, copied or shared, and whether feet or metric was selected. Only daily totals per page are stored. No IP address, cookie or other identifier is stored with them, and they cannot be linked to you.
Report and contact forms
When you send a report or a message, the site stores what you wrote, the page you were on, the shopping list on screen at the time, and your email address if you chose to give one. This is used only to check and fix the calculators and to reply to you. Messages are deleted when they are no longer needed, and you can ask for yours to be deleted by emailing the address below.
Advertising and cookies
How Many Boards is free and is supported by advertising. When ads are shown, they are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites, and to measure how ads perform. You can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before advertising cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time from the link in the site footer.
If you email the address on the contact page, your message and address are kept only as long as needed to reply.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
